I'm a designer with over 14 years experience; and most recently founder of creative design practice, by March, where I work as a designer and creative director. I work in traditional graphic design, identity design, branding and visual communication.

Whether a book, brand campaign, full identity system or business card, my practice is grounded in research, leading to an original, relevant and effective solution, with a strong idea at its heart. This is combined with both attention to detail and a focus on visual craft.

I strongly believe in working with people, not for them, and think that this has led to me being fortunate enough to work with some clients for almost a decade. Experience has told that if we both believe in what we're doing the results will show; and more often than not, this leads to strong relationships that last.

I cut my teeth as a designer at The Chase, London – one of the UK's top creative agencies – before co-founding and running MARC&ANNA with Anna Ekelund, as joint Creative Directors, for nine years.

"I’ve worked with Marc for over 7 years, and his calm insight, intelligent approach and beautiful craftsmanship, have resulted in communications that resonate with the public, and have helped make a life-saving difference. Marc is always a delight to work with!"

Louise Kyme
Brand & Design Manager,
British Heart Foundation

“I’ve worked with Marc on a wide range of projects at both The Women’s Library and Crafts Council, from an exhibition on the horrors of human trafficking to an international art fair representing over 400 artists from around the globe. Marc has the ability to respond to a brief with great creativity and thoughtfulness, to work sensitively and professionally with multiple project partners and to produce results that really hit the target. It’s always a pleasure to work with him and have him on board as part of the team.”

Fiona Moorhead
Communications Manager: Strategy and Partnerships,
Crafts Council

“Marc has helped us to create and build a brand we are truly proud of. In the eight years I have worked with Marc, he has been a pleasure to work with – answering challenging briefs, meeting tight deadlines and providing invaluable consultancy. A safe pair of hands with an incredible creative flair.”
